Government New Welfare Schemes Regarding Solar energy in 2022-2023

  • Solar parks and ultra-mega solar power projects
  • Grid-connected rooftop
  • Grid-connected Pv plants on canal banks
  • Lighting systems
  • Solar power plants with battery banks
  • Solar pump from 3HP to 5HP

The Indian government and MNRE have Launched various Central Financial Assitance (CPA) schemes for solar energy in India.

1. Solar parks and Ultra-mega solar power projects

Solar parks and Ultra-mega projects have higher project costs and higher transmission Losses. Individual projects have become expensive in their development, and also bear the higher costs of Infrastructure, Acquiring land, and Permissions. That Causes delays in projects. So to resolve this problem. The new scheme has been launched from 2014 to 2023 with the objective of facilitating project developers to set up Projects in the play Model.

2. Grid-connected rooftop

This scheme was launched to achieve a cumulative installed capacity of 40,000 Mw from Grid-connected rooftops.  This scheme has opened up to 2026.

3. Grid-connected Pv Plants on canal banks

This scheme was launched for achieving vacant places of government land with banks of canals. To set up solar Pv power plants for gaining the power to the grid and setting up a capacity of 100 Mw solar Pv Power projects to achieve targets.

4. Lighting systems

For lanterns streetlights, and lead-acid batteries the benchmark cost will be Rs. 340 per Walt and CFA Rs. 102 per Walt.                    For street lights with lithium Ferro phosphate batteries. Benchmark cost Rs. 475 per Walt and CFA Rs. 142.5 per Walt.

5. Solar power plants with battery banks

In this scheme, the government encourages manufacturing with direct interventions in the battery sector or advanced chemistry cells as the government notification calls it. Its main moto the manufacturing newer technology batteries. Starting with lithium batteries and also targeting to increase exports.

6. Solar Pump from 3HP to 5HP

In this scheme, The government launches new criteria for both solar pumps. If farmers have less than 5 acres. Then they will eligible to get a subsidy at the rate of 95% of the total cost of the 3HP solar pump.                                                                                  If farmers have more than 5 acres will be provided 30000.
