Is it important to buy the right inverter for the solar power system?

Is it important to buy the right inverter for the solar power system?

Any solar power system connected with different electrical components like ACDB, DCDB, inverter, and Solar panels. But is it important to buy the right inverter? yes. In India, there are three types of inverters such as (1) String Inverters, (2) Power optimizers, and (3)Micro Inverters.  All these three types of inverters are different due to their feature. generally, all inverter’s working process is the same. it converts the solar panel system-generated power from direct current(DC) to Alternating current(AC). For different motives, we need different types of inverters.

1. String Inverter

String-Inverter

This type of inverter is less expensive and used in the industry.  ya!  This is a standard inverter. But it performs best when you don’t have encroaching shade from trees or houses/big chimneys.  It is also good if all solar panels are facing sunlight in the same direction.

It is one of the centralized inverters because it has one central currency exchange station.

Advantages of string inverters

  • It has the lowest cost of all other types
  • It is also a standard inverter
  • It works well when no shade restriction

Disadvantages of string inverter

  • If any panel was damaged, the allover  production will be decreased
  • No greater output if all panels are facing different directions
  • If power consumption capacity increases, you add a second string inverter.

2. Power Optimizer

Power Optimizer

A power optimizer is more suitable than a string inverter and also more cost-efficient than a micro-inverter setup.

Power optimizer inverters are used between both string  inverters and micro inverters in their functioning and pricing

Advantages of power optimizer

  • Each panel monitoring is easy
  • More efficient than a string
  • Less cost than micro-inverter setup

Disadvantages of power optimizer

  • It has also a higher installation cost
  • No requirement to face all panels in the same direction

3Micro-Inverter

Micro-Inverter

We received some hints from the name “Mcro-Inverter”. micro means small. Usually, This type of inverter is built with each solar panel. which are in small units. The benefit of this inverter is each panel becomes independent of itself. If any one panel is covered by shade the whole day. All remaining panels’ efficiency will be not affected by this one panel and it is also easy to find the problem in any one panel with the help of individual micro-units built with the panel. It can be easy to monitor the performance of each individual panel.

If you want to increase power usage, then it is easy in a microinverter system. due to being less expensive and you just need to add a panel and inverter.

Advantages of micro-inverter

  • Each panel monitoring is easy
  • Good for rooftops where solar panels may face different directions.
  • Individual shade effect will not affect the whole power output
  • Add more power is less expensive than sting inverter

Disadvantages of micro-inverter

  • Higher initial installation cost
  • Not required all panels facing in the same direction.

We also give some notice points when you buy any solar inverter.

First, you should check the efficiency rate of the inverter, Then know about the warranty period. and after that check the operating temperatures.

Ferus energy co. offer the best solar inverter as per the customer’s requirement with a high-efficiency rate and low cost and the feature of a long warranty period. so it is easy to install an inverter with a solar PV system.

Why Hybrid energy power system is so famous ?

Why Hybrid energy power system is so famous?

Hybrid Solar System
Hybrid Solar System

IN INDIA, There are two types of solar power systems used On-grid and Off-grid. Now one more option is to explore in India, And it is a “hybrid solar system”. If we want to understand a hybrid solar power system, it’s usually a combination of on-grid and off-grid solar systems. A hybrid solar system is a combination of various technology. It has extra battery backup and also the benefit of net metering.

Generally, this system provides both on-grid and off-grid systems advantages, like you can store power on systems battery backup and extra power given to the main electric grid.

But do you know how to work a hybrid solar system?  First, solar panel generates electricity from sunlight. then this power goes to the system inverter,  an inverter converts DC power to AC.

Let’s understand the hybrid solar system with an example, suppose your solar system generates 200 units in one day and you consume 110 units at home, or an extra or remaining 90 units will be stored in solar batteries. and if batteries are unable to store much electricity. the surplus power will go to the local utility grid.

People are also curious to know about the net metering process and how it works. Net metering process of evaluating and analyzing the export and import of electricity with specific figures such as how much consume power in your home and how much is exported to the utility grid. and also its process is very simple while exporting electricity meter will spin backward and your electricity unit will be rewritten as these parameters. the total consumption of power used in the home will be measured in solar tracking meters.

If you want to generate a huge amount of electricity. then you can use a combined hybrid power system. In this system, you can generate electricity from two sources, a hybrid solar power system and a wind power system. The best advantage of this system you can generate large amounts of electricity to supply power to small towns or big projects.

Hybrid Power System
Hybrid Power Systems

Few benefits of a hybrid power system

  • It can increase the share of renewable energy resources and become independent from fossil fuels.
  • It can secure the environment and add efficiency to energy production.
  • It can reduce energy overall cost of energy in the long term period by installing a wind turbine used with renewable generation.
  • Installing isolated grids can give modern energy access to remote accommodations.

Solar energy is one of the multipurpose sources. you can use it in different forms in different places. In the 21st century, solar power is assumed to happen the most likable renewable energy source due to its non-pollution feature and exhaustible supply of power.

The sun is a very powerful energy source and the sunlight is one of the big sources to receive energy on Earth. Though solar energy is free. But the high cost of collection, and storage. it will be a barrier to exploitation in some places. Energy developers and power grids use different solar PV and Concentrating solar technologies to generate huge amounts of power for cities, railways, airports, petrol pumps, and small towns.

There are lots of advantages and disadvantages of solar energy. but no doubt about it. it will become the future of new renewable sources.

There are 7 applications of solar energy in the future.

  • Solar Fabrics
  • Solar-Powered Roads
  • Solar-Skins

It can also use in curtains and powering heated car seats.

2. Solar-powered road

Solar Powered Road

In this application, solar panels are covered in the road to generate approx. 70 percent of the country’s power needs. But it has some limitations. like it can’t work at night and melt snow and ice during the winter months. It has the ability to generate clean energy and power. But in this case, several other factors also affecting in energy production like the quality of panels. Road materials and concrete. There are lots of companies and transportation agencies that are currently working on these projects to generate energy by solar-powered roads.

3. Solar skins

Solar Skins

Solar skins are a novel solar technology. This technology integrated different custom designs/images into solar panel systems. To change the look of solar panels by using imprinted custom images the technology uses simultaneously displays a vibrant image and fits as sunlight reaches the underlying solar panel without any loss in accuracy and efficiency. Generally, That image is a company logo or advertisement.

4. Floating Solar Farms

Floating Solar Farms

PV solar power systems are made to float on the surface of water bodies like lakes, ponds, and man-made ponds. As per the researcher, the power generated by floating solar systems is greater up to 10% due to the cooling effect of water. But that system also blocks the evaporation of water.

5. Solar Storage

Solar Storage

New ways to store energy production by solar PV systems are now available. According to new research that new ways to store energy at a large scale. As if, molten salty storage technology. With this technology solar collector uses inorganic molten salt as the heat transfer fluid.

6. PV Solar Noice Barriers

PV Solar Noise Barriers

This solar technology is designed to reflect noise away from the local population area. This study shows how to integrate solar cells into these barriers to provide power generation.

7. Solar at Night

Solar At Night

At night, without sunlight. solar panels can’t generate electricity. But scientists in California have invented a new type of solar panel. which are working at night by absorbing infrared light. Though at night time this panel only generates about 25 percent of electricity as compared to solar panels working in the daytime. But that amount of electricity is enough to store and add to the grid.

1. Monocrystalline Solar Panels(Mono-Si)

This type of solar panel is made of monocrystalline silicon with rounded edges these panels are famous for their purity, and their highest efficiency rates(above 20%). This panel gives a bunch of advantages like the high output of electricity and less space requirement and a warranty period also long. But it is costly if you want it in bulk quantity. also, it will be less affected by high temperatures than other types of solar panels. That type of panel is mostly used by commercial places and enterprises.

2. Polycrystalline solar panels. (Poly-Si)

Poly-Si is made by melting raw silicon, its structure is normally in the square with a blue shiny look its efficiency is (around 15%) which is lesser than mono-si. Moreover, it has a shorter lifespan and more affection from high temperatures. this panel manufacturing process is very faster and cheaper than “mono-Si”. But It’s more space required for installation. It is mostly used by houses and residential places.

3. Thin-Film solar cells(TFSC)

Thin-film solar cells are made of silicon, cadmium, or copper, and that’s production is easy and faster due to less material required for production. and it’s less expensive than both the above types of panels. the interesting feature of this panel is its flexibility, due to that feature we can use alternative applications. it had been used by residential installations. they take up lots of space, and shortest warranties because of their short lifespan.

4. Concentrated Pv cell (CVP)

This panel is made with a curved mirror surface, and big lenses with a cooling system are used in the bundle. this panel has one of the highest efficiency rates up to 41% among all other types of panels. but it works best when it faces the sun in the right direction that panel is mostly used when the power requirement is much higher.
